Disability

Discuss the ways in which the extract constructs representations of disability using the following:

• Camera shots, angles, movement and composition
The extract represents disability by the camera sots as it uses simple camera shots for example when Mr frost is talking to Billy, simple close ups of the characters talking makes it seem like Billy has disabilities so simple things have to be used so he could understand well because of his condition. This is further supported by the use of language as Mr Frost talks slowly with simple English words to make sure that Billy understands.

• Editing
The editing in this extract was also very simple which could imply that

• Sound
Disability can also be represented by the sound. For example Mr Frost talks to him with very clearly and with simply, Billy also replies with a slow muffled voice which implies that he has a condition. He also repeats what he says sometimes which further on shows the audience of his disability.

• Mise-en-scene
